RC Cars For Racing

Owning RC cars is very much similar to owning your very own,
actual car. Though it doesn't indicate exactly that you should
do the same things for treating RC cars the way you treat big
cars, it does cause an amount of expenses for maintenance. There
are difference though, in terms of spending for and owning RC
cars (planes, trucks or buggy) for toys or for hobby.

The difference lies mostly to the fact that keeping one for
hobby demands different quality for a better performance. Since
there are many others who keep RC cars for the purpose of racing
them, it is just adequate that you do the same and even more (if
possible) to bring out the best out of your RC vehicle. Notice
that RC vehicles that are built for racing are usually up to the
expected pressure it needs to encounter during a race. It does
and will perform like it's a real car, a truck racing or a plane
flying.

Having pointed these out, there are certain improvement that you
will also need to do. Sometimes, it should be done regularly to
make sure that your RC vehicle performs to its optimum but of
course, expecting for expenses is just right since customizing
it is preferred than just settling for a factory-made RC car.
Your RC car for racing purposes should withstand the demands of
speed. Also, common errors that happen in RC racing such as
crashes (which is also common in an actual race), is expected
and customizing your RC vehicle to reduce the impact is a must.

If you bought a hobby-grade RC vehicle, customizing it further
for professional racing purposes later on is highly recommended.
Even replacement options are entitled to the owner from the
manufacturer. You also get more options in terms of its RC
features and also, you can drive electronic RC cars or nitro
ones both for racing. There is really no limitations, continuous
upgrade is possible.

Cleaning RC Cars After The Rain

The rainy days can either be fun or not. When you have your RC
car, truck or plane out in the pavement, track or field, the
last thing that you need is for the heavens to pour its water
over you. But don't blame the heavens if it rain. For all you
know, rain can be a good thing for other people. The point in
racing RC cars is that keeping it in good condition at all
times, no matter the weather, is a top responsibility by the
owner.

Keeping a good performing RC car is not very hard to do. Though
it can take most of your time for doing it, if you look at your
work in the end, you won't regret it in any way. There are
several things which you need to check on, and this concerns the
wheels because it is in contact to the wet ground. The front
spindles should be checked first and if there is any slop on the
wheels, clean it out. Checking also the tightness of the wheels
after it got wet is important. Check the wheels, shake it and if
you think its loose, go ahead and pad or shim it then replace if
necessary.

As for cleanliness, check the ball stud or also called the ball
cup for any excess dirt. This is the part of your RC car that
keeps a lot of unnecessary dirt and when it rains, it doesn't
make your cleaning job any easier. Since dust, heat and rain
wears this part of your RC car, you might want to check this
area regularly and see if its needed for replacement.

Since there are parts of your car that are made out of plastic
and metal, be concerned with the plastic made parts more. They
are prone to easy wear, tear and cracks. Replace any part that
are in this condition. The metal parts are not an exception, do
check them as well.

When you check all these, you wouldn't be worried much of your
next race or run outside - even if it rains.

Nitro Remote Controlled Car

Remote control cars are considered toys for big boys. But the
truth is, kids and adults from both sexes can enjoy the thrill
of controlling a mini-machine with much power like a nitro
remote-control car. Any RC car enthusiast can choose among a
wide array of car models, from Ferraris to Lamborghinis and
Porsches.

Nitro RC cars are different from ordinary RC cars in that they
are built for speed of more than 75 mph. Therefore, these cars
are perfect for racing indoors and especially great for racing
outdoors. However, because of the speed, it is not an RC car
designed for beginners. Only experienced racers will enjoy this
type of RC car.

Remote control cars, when delivered, come assembled and are
ready to use. They are usually electrically-powered but there
are also those that are gas-powered, like the nitro RC cars that
are run on nitro methane gas.

Nitro RC cars have many intricate parts that are seen in real
cars. Some parts include air filters to prevent the entry of
dirt in the engine, gears that transfer power from the engine to
the car's transmission, and carburetor adjustment screws to
control the idling speed. It also comes with a pull start
mechanism just like the ones found in lawn mowers. There are
many other parts that make up the complex design of a nitro RC
car that are too many to mention.

The enjoyment of the nitro RC car comes in the ability of the
user to do precise movements with the aid of the remote control.
The steering of the car can be done gently or aggressively,
depending on the call of the situation. Acceleration can,
likewise, be controlled. Going from zero speed to full-speed can
be done with the remote control just like in real race cars in a
matter of seconds.

But of course, as it is with all kinds of machines, wear and
tear can take its toll on nitro RC cars. Errors and problems may
occur anytime before, during and after its run. Don't forget
that with great speed may come many damages to your RC car. You
and you alone will know if something has gone bad just by
looking at the way it runs. Make sure, at all times, that you
double-check your car before hitting the tracks especially with
your nitro RC car.

The most important thing to check on would be the engine. If the
car suddenly stops at mid-run, there could be a problem with the
engine. You may have to replace the piston sleeve of your
engine. Usually, the changing of type of fuel can have a
negative effect on the general performance of your car.
Therefore, it is imperative that you have a good observation of
changes in smoke and engine sound.

When buying the fuel for your car, make sure you buy the fuel
especially for RC cars.

Fuel for nitro RC cars is a combination of methyl alcohol,
lubricants and nitro methane.

More nitro content in the fuel gives the car more power. These
cars are usually more expensive. A good start would be 10%
nitro. More advanced users can do well with 20% nitro.

Having some background on nitro RC cars is a must for nitro RC
car owners. You should be aware of the power this little machine
can generate and how it does that. Trouble shooting will not be
possible if you do not know anything about the parts and their
functions. If I were you, read more about this special power
remote control car.

Keeping Your RC Car Steady

RC car racers have to make it a point that collision should be
the last thing that can damage their vehicle. But, with the
speed RC cars are capable of doing while on track, collision is
a common scenario. If you are a newbie to handling RC cars as a
hobby, there are some basics that you need to know. These basics
are good for the type of RC vehicle that you own and for your
own knowledge in RC racing.

First of all, shock absorbers or as it is popularly known,
shocks, keep the vehicle suspended parallel to the tires and
ground below it. A good set of shocks assure the owner that the
chassis of a RC car doesn't touch the track nor does it cause
the tires of the car to stray away. Keeping a good set of shock
absorbers is the tricky part, so before entering any racing
competition, test several set of shocks which you think would be
effective in keeping your RC car chassis off of the racetrack.

Everybody knows that shock absorbers consist of a good set of
springs as this allows the car to maintain the standard height
from 0 level. For better performance though, a soft type of
spring is preferred. As mentioned, it is better for you to test
several springs at a time before entering a competition. You'll
be the judge of the height of the chassis from the ground and
whether the "feel" of the spring already suffices your
preference.

To put your RC car under smooth control even if it bumps another
car on track or experiences an ordinary bump, be sure you have
the right amount of shock oil absorbed on the springs of the
car. An appropriately positioned pistons absorb the excess
energy caused from a collision or impact. This results to the
steady motion of a vehicle.

Keeping your RC car free from unsteady movement and unnecessary
bounce will give you peace of mind when driving it around or
even when in a competition.

Cleaning RC Motors

Owning an electric RC car is just like raising a child or can be
compared to having a pet. All that is needed to keep a child (or
a pet) safe from all sorts of diseases or sickness is to make
sure that the child eats a lot of vitamin-rich food. Also,
regular check up and exercises is a secondary requirement.

As for RC cars, they need proper and regular check ups too. This
means that the RC motor has to be cleaned regularly as well so
the machine works on its top most speed and performance.

In terms of cleaning the motor of your RC car, you need to use a
motor spray so the dirt and excess carbon deposits in the motor
are removed. A high quality type of motor spray should do the
trick. Do not forget to use oil for lubricating each of your car
and motor's bearings.

With brushes, it is also adamant that you are keen in checking
it if it already needs replacement. A worn out brush which
remains in used for your RC motor could possibly cause you the
top performance you've been trying to achieve and maintain. So
by the time the tip of the brush which is in contact with the
commutator of the motor becomes the shade of violet, better
replace it with a new one. Be sure though that before replacing
an old brush with a new one, the commutator's overall condition
should be round and smooth.

The same thing goes with the motor's brush as well as with the
springs. With springs, the tension should always be there, the
same way it was when it was still brand new. You can either opt
for a spring tension checker so you can use it regularly or
replace the springs the same time when you replace the brushes.

For a better maintenance approach, you can clean out the dirt
and other unnecessary deposits in your motor after each run.
This does not make you an obsessive-compulsive person but
maintaining your RC motor this way is a lot better.

What matters in maintaining a RC motor for your RC car is you
understand that all motors will lose their brand new and
impressive performance over time. What you can do is just make
sure that you clean and spend money for it to keep it running as
if you just bought it yesterday.

Mini Rc Cars

Did your heart ever palpitate for fast driving? Did you ever imagine your hands controlling an extremely speedy car? I f so, then you should definitely experience the gravity and true charm of mini RC cars.

Mini RC cars have climbed up to the top position in the chartbusters of favorite pastimes or hobbies. These extremely speedy and exciting mini RC cars offer a complete range of fun, frolic and excitement, within small and restricted arenas of racing. Since the mini RC cars are quite small in size as suggested by their title, the mini RC cars can be easily designed and masterminded in your rooms or garages. However, one should not get fooled down by seeing the outer appearance of a small sized mini RC car- rather the impact of the size has no influence over the unbelievable range of it's speed, which at times touches over 20 mph.

Small scale cars or rather the so termed mini RC cars are however not very new to this world. In the early 90's, Kyosko introduced the BAJA bugs and Tamiya the Tamtech cars. Unfortunately enough, with the advancement of technology, these cars lost popularity and value in the market.

However today, the scenario has drastically changed. Due to lack of sufficient space and the heavy expenses of racing, these mini RC cars provide a suitable alternative. Mini RC cars can truly quench the thirst and excitement of a car race lover. Four to six of these mini RC cars can race amongst themselves within small arenas of a garage or a small street.

Today KYOSHO MINI-2 and HPI MICRO RS 4 RT4 have gained immense popularity in the wide market of mini RC Cars. Besides these mini RC cars, the market of mini RC cars also comprises of SUPER MICRO MINI RC cars.
