Remote Controll Hobbies

RC cars, RC boats, RC planes, RC helicopters can come in many
forms. In fact, RC means different things to different people.
It can mean Radio Control, Remote Control, Radio Controlled, or
Remote Controlled. Overall it is essentially the same thing. The
controller is operated via battery power. The vehicle, aircraft,
or boat itself may be electric, or nitro gas powered. The RC
world can range from the inexpensive toy version, to the
expensive and often fragile, true experienced hobbyist version.
There are ready to run (RTR), or ready to fly (RTF) versions as
well as the assembly required versions. Additionally, there are
the Almost Ready to Run or Almost Ready to Fly versions which
require minimal assembly.

The RC car world is popular. RC buggy's and RC trucks are also
popular. Some major manufacturers of RC cars, RC buggy's, and RC
trucks including replacement parts and accessories are ABC Hobby
Co., LTD., Associated Electrics, Inc., Astro Flight, CEN Racing,
Du-Bro Products, Dynamite, Fantom Racing Motors, Futuba, GS
Racing, HobbyTech, Inc., Hot Bodies, HobbyZone, HardCore Racing
Components, Hobby Products International (HPI), HiTec RCD Inc.,
Integy, JR, Team Losi, Inc., McCoy Glow Plugs, Megatech, OFNA
Racing Division, Parma, Sullivan Products, Sportwerks, Tamiya
America, Inc., Traxxas, TRC, Team Trinity, Team Sorex, and Venom
Group International.

RC airplanes or RC planes for short, often include RC
helicopters made by the same manufacturers. These manufacturers
are: Astro Flight, Du-Bro Products, E-Flite, Fantom Racing
Motors, Fliton, Fourmost Products, Fox Engines, Futuba, Goldberg
Models, GS Racing, Grand Wing System U.S.A., Hangar 9, Hot
Bodies, HobbyZone, HiTec RCD Inc., Herr Engineering Corporation,
Integy, JR, Major Decals, McCoy Glow Plugs, Megatech, ParkZone,
Sullivan Products, and Venom Group International.

RC boats are another popular RC hobby. Some manufacturers of RC
boat products including accessories and parts are ABC Hobby Co.,
LTD., Astro Flight, CEN Racing, Cyclon Electronic Model, Du-Bro
Products, HobbyZone, Horizon Hobby Distributors, Megatech, Pro
Boat, Sullivan Products, Tamiya America, Inc., and Traxxas.

RC cars, RC boats, RC airplanes, RC helicopters, all require
radios, engines and sometimes tools, parts, paints, and
adhesives. Radios, engines, tools, parts, paints, and adhesives
are available from most of the following manufacturers: ABC
Hobby Co., LTD., Associated Electrics, Inc., Astro Flight, CEN
Racing, Du-Bro Products, Dynamite, E-Flite, Fantom Racing
Motors, Hangar 9, Hot Bodies, HobbyZone, Hobby Products
International (HPI), JR, Team Losi, Inc., McCoy Glow Plugs,
Megatech, OFNA Racing Division, Orion USA, Parma, Sullivan
Products, Sportwerks, Tamiya America, Inc., Traxxas, TRC, Team
Trinity, Venom Group International, E-Flite, Fliton, Fourmost
Products, Fox Engines, Goldberg Models, Hangar 9, Major Decals,
ParkZone, and Pro Boat.

Ready to Run (RTR) and Ready to Fly (RTF), RC cars, RC buggies,
RC trucks, RC airplanes, and RC boats are a lot of fun to use
and come ready to enjoy right out of the box. Whether your RC is
electric or is nitro gas powered, the fun can continue for a
long time. When you decide to purchase a radio control car, or
remote control airplane, you should know that it isn't as easy
as it seems. It takes practice to operate your remote control
car or radio control aircraft to build your skills. RC trucks
and RC buggies can be run on dirt or can be used to race just
like RC cars.

How Do I Start a Gas Powered RC Car

How Do I Start a Gas Powered RC Car

If you're a fan of radio-controlled vehicles, but find standard
RC to be lacking in power and running time, you might want to
consider looking into gas powered RC cars. But you might ask:
"how do I start a gas powered RC car?" The following will answer
your question step by step.

1. Decide on the size The two most popular sizes to choose from
are 1/8 and 1/10 scale. 1/10th scale is the industry standard
for on-road racers, while 1/8th is more popular for off-road
trucks and buggies. The larger 1/8th scale on road car comes
standard with a 2 or 3 speed automatic transmission.

2. Choose the right Type The touring and racing cars are the
popular choice for on-road use. For best performance, they
should be run on a smooth surface.

Trucks and buggies are the choice if off-road action is what you
want. Though not as fast as the touring and racing styles, they
are still very impressive and extremely rugged as well. And
since a smooth surface is not required, they also have the
advantage of being able to run just about anywhere.

3. Decide on the motor Gas powered RC motors come available in
the popular 2-stroke or the less conventional 4- stroke
versions. The primary difference is that the 2-stroke motor,
much like a weed eater or chain saw, requires a fuel oil
mixture. The 4-stroke motor has an oil reservoir and can run on
straight fuel. The 2 stroke engine has the advantage of
producing higher rpm's (revs up faster) and is more suitable for
racing. The 4 stroke engine has more power and torque and is
better for off-road use.

4. Learn how to maintain the car Maintenance is a definite
requirement of running a gas powered RC car. You'll need to
maintain certain parts such as: clutch, differential, air
filter, header and pull start cord.

5. Choose between Kits and Ready to Run RC Cars Gas powered RC
cars come in kits or ready-to-run right from the box. The
primary difference is the whether you want to save time with a
RTR car or save money with a kit. However, because of the
assembly process, kits better prepare you for required
maintenance.

If you choose to build an RC car, don't expect to finish in one
sitting. To avoid mistakes, familiarize yourself with the
instructions first and get your work area prepared. Some of the
things you'll need are:

Small No. 1 and 2 Phillips and flathead screwdrivers Soap - as a
dry lubricant for tight parts Extra fuel line - to hold screws
while positioning Needle nose and regular slip joint pliers
Flush cutter Hobby knife with no. 11 blades

When you assemble the car, make sure to work in a well-lit,
uncluttered area. You should keep the parts and tools separated
using tin boxes, trays, or even an old fishing tackle box.

The RC Hobby

The Radio Control Hobby By Robert E Robeson

"The family that plays together stays together"

While I do believe this to be a true statement there is also the
need for solitude and self fulfillment.

How can both statements be true and how can the RC Hobby fit
both categories?

To get a better insight into this, we first need to get to know
the many facets of the RC Hobby.

RC stands for Radio Control, some say Remote Control. The
difference being that a Radio is used for Radio control and joy
sticks, wires, strings etc are used in remote control. And it
does not matter what is being controlled. However for this
article we will use RC as to mean Radio Control and to control
Toys of some type.

While there are many things controlled by some kind of Radio
(Transmitter) from the military to medical and commercial uses
we will confine our discussion to the RC Hobby.

So Just what is the RC Hobby? Well I am glade you asked.

The hobby is made up of 4 main categories but is in no way
limited to them.

Those 4 categories are: * RC Airplanes: including Sailplanes,
UFO's, Blimps and other flying objects. * RC Boats, Now these
come in fuel power, electric power, sail and submarines. * RC
Cars come in more sizes and shapes than most us can imagine.
Cars, Trucks, Buggies, Tanks, ATVs, Bulldozers, RVs,
Motorcycles, Balls, (yep, Round balls) and the list goes on. *
RC Helicopters. From the very small (fits in the palm of your
hand) to the very large (full size helicopters setup to fly with
Radio control)

Other very popular areas are robots, trains, slot cars, spiders,
people etc.

So as a hobby you can pick what item you like. And many people
have multiples as there hobby. What I mean is someone may have
airplane, cars and helicopters, while other concentrate on just
the one like cars perfecting there hobby. Competetion!

Know matter which part of the hobby to like ground, air or
water, there are all levels, prices and help available.

Kits come in complete kit form where you put together every
single little item to ready to go where you take it out of the
box and go play.

Most items have a selection of power, like airplanes have
Sailplanes, electric, nito, diesel, and gas. Piston engine,
rotary, even jet engine are used so the imagination to the only
limit.

So get your family a bunch of simple cars and go play together,
start building you next project and see where it takes you.

Get your self a helicopter and have the best one on one you can
imagine. Either way it is great clean, wholesome fun that you
can enjoy by yourself or with the entire family.

Enjoy

High Octane RC Cars - The Ultimate Toy for Both Kids and Adults

We all have a need for speed. Even if its buried deep down
inside you, its there, just waiting to be let out. Youll know it
when you pick up a remote, pull a trigger and see an RC car
shoot by you faster than what you would ever imagine. Super fast
RC vehicles will elicit a goofy, awe-struck smile from 8 year
olds and 50 year olds alike.

Some of the fastest RC vehicles come prepared as
ready-to-run/race or RTR. The RTR RC trucks, cars and boats are
available at many hobby stores, but to find the greatest deals,
you don't need to look further than the computer your sitting in
front of. Online retailers of RTR RC vehicles can typically
offer a broader selection of trucks, cars and boats than even
the largest hobby stores. Also, since they dont have an actual
store to maintain, they can offer products to you a lot cheaper
than a typical hobby store.

These a few different types of RC cars, trucks and boats
available and its important to learn which type would best suit
its driver. The base model RC car is the battery powered type.
Improvements have taken place in battery power output,
especially with NiMh and L-I batteries (Nickel Metal Hydride and
Lithium Ion, respectively) becoming more popular and widely
available. This has resulted in faster battery powered RC cars
and trucks and theyre a much better choice for younger kids who
might not foresee the dangers of running a 70Mph gas powered RC
car into a brick wall or something else much more expensive like
Dad's new car for example.

Gas powered RC cars and trucks have been around for awhile and
ready-to-run models can reach top speeds of 50+Mph. Thats fast,
no matter what your accustomed too. Combine the proper parts and
a little know how, anyone is capable of upgrading their rc
vehicle to reach even faster speeds. Gas powered RC cars start
at around $100.

The nitro powered RC vehicles are a mix of gas powered RC cars
that use a special nitro methane fuel mixture to create top
speeds that are nothing less than freaky. There are nitro
powered RC cars and trucks that come the rtr and itll cost you
around $300 for the enjoyment. These cars have been modified by
hobbyists to reach speeds in excess of 100Mph in clear
conditions. Beleive it or not, their little engines can produce
as much horsepower as that of a small lawnmower, which could
only result in one thing: Speed.

Once you have your rc car, truck or boat, the only need to get
started is a debris free parking lot, fuel and batteries for the
remote control. You might as well haul along some friends too,
because they wont believe you when you tell them the top speeds
your toy can hit. Before you know it this high-octane hobby will
sweep the nation because no matter who you are - blazing fast is
always fun.

Gas Powered Rc Cars

When it comes to RC cars, electricity saves you money, but gas
makes it real. Gas powered RC cars go faster, sound more
realistic and give you the thrill of the race in a way that
their electrically controlled counterparts just can't do. Of
course, you have to understand that when you hear the term gas
powered RC cars, you're really not talking about gasoline.

Gas powered RC cars are actually powered by a fuel combination
more often referred to as nitro. But even if you don't actually
put gasoline into the cars, gas powered RC cars still look for
all the world like miniature automobiles as they zoom at high
speeds around the track.

Gas powered RC cars have engines that require fine tuning and
that roar with all the excitement of a full sized car. In fact,
the faster they go, the louder they get, just like the real
thing. The excitement of racing gas powered RC cars doesn't end
with the sounds however. As they face like lightning, vapor
trails of exhaust shadow their route. That's a sight that you
just can't get from electrically controlled RC cars.

Aside from the cool sounds and sights, there are some other
differences. Typical gas powered RC cars get owe their higher
sense of realism to an internal combustion engine. The "gas" is
actually a nitro methane fuel mixed with lubricating oil to
protect the engine. The replace for a real car's spark plugs in
gas powered RC cars is something called a glow plug.

This plug is heated by a battery-powered starter that
continuously ignites the fuel, allowing gas powered RC cars to
race far longer at a time than electric ones. Unless, that is,
your glow plug goes out on you. Because this eventuality is not
exactly unknown in the world of gas powered RC racing, it always
pay to invest in a backup or two.

If you are still reading this, that means you are probably new
to the world of gas powered RC cars and maybe haven't even
bought one yet. Rather than starting out with a top of the line
model, you should probably go for entry-level car. Most of these
models don't need electric starters because they come with
pull-starters like a go-kart engine. If you do get one that
comes without this, you'll have to invest in a starter. You have
a choice here: either an electric starter box or a 12V starter
with a car adaptor.

Gas powered RC cars bring the excitement of RC car racing to
another level. The sounds, the sights and even the smells of a
race between gas powered RC cars are so much more realistic than
a race between electric cars. If you are looking to get in on
one of the fastest growing hobbies in America and you truly want
to experience it to the ultimate, then gas powered RC cars is
really your only choice.

RC Car Tracks - 5 Essential Steps You Need To Take To Build Your

1. In order to know how to build an RC car track, you will first
need to make sure the place you are going to build it has a
floor surface that is accommodating, and that you are able to
make it durable. You might have to re do the surface or change
it to something like concrete, or hard tile which will make it
easy for you to race on your RC car tracks on the standard or
medium and wide tracks. You might have to first distress the
original floor before laying down your own concrete, to make it
easy on yourself.

2. You should create your own concrete place with cement that is
at least 2 centimeters thick. You can use your own materials for
this; if you don't want to pour new cement, you don't have to.
In order to have whatever size tracks you'd like (standard,
medium and wide tracks) you should have a large area to work
with - this will make it easy. It is best that you use a garage
or other covered area so that you won't have to worry about the
weather, and maintenance is easy.

3. Next, section out where you want to actually have your own,
durable RC car track. Make sure the route is easy to navigate,
the tracks are durable, and be creative. You want to make this
RC car track your own. Use pieces of wood or carpet to outline
where you want the cars to race.

4. You can simulate grassy areas by using carpeting or other
durable materials that are green and have a grass-like make up
to them. It's easy! You can also use pieces of plastic or wood
in order to outline the tracks, be they standard or medium and
wide tracks, so that it will be durable and easy to race RC cars
in. Make sure that you build your RC track in a place where it
is easy to use, and where you don't have anything else in the
way. Using this type of durable material for grassy surfaces
will make it easy to drive your car over them.

5. A good idea is to lay garden hose of any color around the
track so that it is easy to tell where the boundaries to the RC
track area are. This will insure that you can race your RC cars
on your own track without having to worry about not knowing
where to go! Garden hose is good to use because it is easy on RC
car tires.

Enjoy your brand new, durable and easy to use RC car track!

Toys Market Environment In China

The number of young kids under the age of 14 and infant, toddler
and preschool in China is over 300,000,000, accounting for 25%
of the whole population. Among them 80,000,000 live in the city,
which form a large numbers of toy consumption. Especially in
recent years, parents identify with the concept that toys can
enlighten children on their intelligence, moreover, majority of
modern families in China only have one child, parents are
willing to spend on their child. Although according to the
official statistic, the toy sales in mainland of China are no
more than 2,000,000,000 dollars in 2006, it is estimated by
people in this industry that the actual market demands should be
9,000,000,000 dollars. People in this industry believe that the
forecast demands of Chinese toy market will increase at a rate
of 40% per year in the following years, and the consumption of
Chinese toy market will hopefully exceed 13,000,000,000 dollars.

In recent years, it appears some characteristics for toy sales
in mainland of China:

1. Model Toys Electric model toys attract both children and
adults, such as tank cars, cars installed with alarm whistle and
so on. Though these toys are not cheap in price, especially the
electric toys, commonly between 8-10 dollars, some even as high
as 80-100 dollars, but they have a strong footing in the market.

2. RC Toys Appeared with high technology, for instance,
electronic toys that can sound or shine, rc toys and interactive
toys that can speak or perform a series of actions are salable
goods. Presently, various rc toys on sale in the market reach
about 1 hundred kinds, mainly are variety of rc toys (remote
control toys) and hobby items, such as rc car, rc helicopter,
nitro rc car, rc gas boat, remote control helicopter, remote
control car etc., each rc car(remote control car) costs about
20-65 dollars,rc gas boat(remote control gas boat) is
about 20-50 dollars, and the price of rc helicopter
differs between 450 - 2,000 dollars.

3. Plastic Toys Plastic has taken the place of metal, wood and
have become the main material for toys making, because it costs
low, easily deals with, safer and light.

4. Adult Toys Besides the children toys, adult toys in mainland
of China are also have large market. According to the latest
investigation of China Social Investigation Office, 33% of
adults think they are fond of toys and would like to buy them.
It is investigated that except for traditional Chinese Chess,
I-go and kite, adults prefer rc toys (remote control toys) and
hobby items, such as rc car, rc helicopter, nitro rc car, rc gas
boat, remote control helicopter, remote control car etc. The
last research of China Toys Association shows the acceptable toy
price for most consumers in the large and medium sized cities is
no more than 15 dollars. However, in some large cities and some
medium sized cities, some ingenious and top graded toys reaching
up 150 dollars and even 1200 dollars still have their market. It
takes an average of about 5% of the whole year consumption for
Chinese citizens to buy toys, and with the toy development of
top grade, brightness and series, in particular, rc toys (remote
control toys) and hobby items, such as rc car, rc helicopter,
nitro rc car, rc gas boat, remote control helicopter, remote
control car etc., the toy consumption will be in the status of
advancing.

RC Cars - Toys for the Big Boys

They say that boys will be boys and although that can be a very
subjective generalization, the evolution of boy's toys into a
hobby for grown men can attest to the fact that some boys never
grow up-at least in terms of their toy cars.

RC (radio controlled) cars is the general term for any car model
that uses a radio control system for remote management. However,
there are two types of RC cars: the toy grade, which was
designed for young boys; and the hobby grade which is the choice
of adolescent boys and men of all ages.

The only similarity between the toy and hobby grade RC cars is
that they are both models of land vehicles that are used via
remote radio control system. The main difference in the two
types of models however is that the toy grade one is just a
bunch molded plastic that resembles the look of a miniature car,
while the hobby grade types are actual miniature models of
vehicles that come with individual parts assembled much like a
real, full sized car. In fact, hobby grade RC cars are treated
exactly like real cars because it requires regular maintenance
and run on actual miniature car engines.

Some hobby grade RC cars run on electrically propelled machines
while the rest run on fuel powered engines. The complexity of
hobby grade RC cars is probably the main attraction for men of
all ages. That and the fact that hobby grade RC cars are made
for racing that allow men to compete with each other using their
personalized racing cars. An RC cars hobbyist will have to
decide whether he wants a fuel powered or electric powered
vehicle. On both types of engines, there will be trade offs.

For instance, electric powered RC cars are generally lighter
than their fuel powered counterparts. However, fuel powered RC
cars are faster than their electric counterparts. These trade
offs are analyzed by the hobbyist in making his decision on
which type of RC car to own. All these hobby grade RC cars come
with complex parts that can be expanded and changed so that a
hobbyist can own a fuel powered car which he can change for an
electric engine if he wants.

Because the RC cars are used for racing, they are fitted with
extra powerful radio controlled systems that allow remote
control from many distances. Not only that, since there are
different terrain in which an RC car race can be held, there are
also off-road models suited for all terrain racing because of
their wheels and suspension.

Whether your RC car is electric or fuel powered, you can be
assured that your car will need a lot of maintenance from repair
and upgrading of car parts to cleaning and tuning to make sure
that your race machine can hold its own out on the race track
among other RC cars.

So you see, these RC cars are true toys for the bog boys. They
are something that can be appreciated by grown ups in terms of
complexity and ability for real races and it allows men to feel
like boys again even for just a while.

How Your Hobby Can Pull In More Money Than Your Wallet Can Hold

What is your hobby? Are you passionate about it? Does it give
you lots of pleasure? Your hobby could also give you lots of
profits on the Internet. Hobbies are a great subject for
information products to sell online.

People spend lots of money on their hobbies, and they buy stacks
of information about their hobbies - books, videos, plans.
Hobbies make people happy, and they like to learn more about
them. Information products help them enjoy their hobbies to a
greater extent.

A Very Large And Diverse Market

The hobby field is a huge market, filled with opportunities for
how-to books, videos, and audio products. There's a gigantic
selection of niches. The well-known hobbies range from amateur
radio, through radio-controlled models and home brewing, to
woodworking. Then, there are the more eclectic hobbies like
tombstone rubbing, dumpster diving, bell ringing, and urban
exploration.

Drilling Down To A Focused Niche

For your first information product, you'll want to drill down to
a small, tightly focused niche. You need to find a more specific
subject, so you can get a strong foothold in the market.

For example, with a widely popular hobby like homebrewing, you
need to find a tight focus in that large market. You could bring
out a product that shows how to brew gluten-free beers. This
would appeal to the growing number of people who suffer from
celiac disease, but would still love to quaff a tasty
home-brewed beer.

Looking at the hobby of radio-controlled models, you could drill
down through cars, into off-road vehicles, and end up at the
specialty of gas powered radio-controlled off-road four-wheel
drives. You could then enter this market with an easy book or
video showing how to, "Beef Up Your Off-Road Gas Powered RC To
Survive Rugged Desert Racing And High Speed Collisions".

A look at the seemingly bizarre hobby of dumpster diving turns
up an interior designer who specializes in turning castaways
into unique furniture and ornaments for the home. How about a
guide to, "Creating A Hip Living Space With Recycled Treasures".

Generating An Idea

Take a close look at your hobby. What could you teach?

Building cedar strip canoes? Making natural herbal soaps?
Painting classic flames on a hot rod? Baking a moist and
delicious carrot cake? Taking dynamic photographs of ordinary
landscapes?

Researching Your Market

After you decide upon an idea for an information product, you
need to research the market some more. You have to be sure that
there are people spending money on a product similar to yours.
You want to sell people an information product that they are
already buying - only slightly different.

Go to the places online where how-to books and videos are being
sold. Go to Amazon and see whether your idea has a market there.
If you find a few books teaching the same thing as you want to
teach, you're in luck. Whatever you do, don't jump in with a
product if there is no one else selling something similar. There
most likely is a very good reason for that.

Your hobby can easily put a lot of money in your bank account.
It will definitely bring in a lot more money than could ever fit
in your wallet. And the nice thing is, with an information
product, you only have to do the work once - after that, you can
sell it over and over and over again.

Radio system for Toys

The radio system is to connect between you and your model rc
toys (remote control toys) such as rc car, rc helicopter, nitro
rc car, rc gas boat, remote control helicopter, remote control
car etc.. It looks like a bit complicated at the very beginning
but with some study, all aspects of the radio system can be
easily understood. We will introduce you to the radio system
here and explain a few of the features found on many of the
systems available today.

Radios are separated into two groups, those used for model
aircraft and those used for surface models. Although the
operation, electronics, and mechanics for both types of systems
are virtually identical, they operate on different sets of
frequencies. The separation is stipulated by law and it is to
protect the safety of the modeler and those in the vicinity. A
flying aircraft can be dangerous if it becomes uncontrolled and
the frequency separation helps avoid an aircraft being
interfered with by someone operating a car or boat. In addition
to a difference in frequencies, some surface radios are also
available as a pistol grip control which is ergonomically easier
when controlling cars and boats. A pistol grip for aircraft
would be impractical. The first criteria one usually looks for
when choosing a radio is the number of control functions or
channels. (Note that the term channels here refers to the number
of controls and does not have anything to do with the frequency
on which the radio operates.) Generally modern radio systems are
available with anything from 2 to 10 channels.

What comes with the radio Transmitter: The transmitter is the
control box which you hold that converts your human control
movements into electrical impulses and sends them via radio
waves to the receiver in your model. Receiver: The receiver is
the small electronic unit in your model which converts the radio
signal from your transmitter into electrical control signals
which can be sent to your servos. Servos: Servos are the devices
in the model which actually produce the control movements. They
convert the electrical signals from your receiver into physical
movement to control your model. A different servo is required
for each control function or radio channel. Batteries: Virtually
all 4-channel and greater systems come complete with
rechargeable NiCd battery packs for both receiver and
transmitter. Dual Charger: A dual charger will come with any
system that is complete with NiCd batteries. It will charge both
the receiver pack and the transmitter pack at the same time.
Switch Harness: A switch harness is provided to turn off the
power to the receiver and servos in the model. It goes between
the battery pack and receiver and also has a lead for charging.
Servo Accessories: Most radio systems will come with additional

Your guide to RC cars

I still remember the day when I broke my first RC car that was
presented to me on my 5th birthday when the entire family was in
vacation in Queensland! The same day, we went to a small local
RC cars shop near by and as I entered I found myself surrounded
with rc cars and rc trucks!! Soon, I set my eyes on a Tamiya
Ford Ranger XLT. I bought that one and yes....i also laid my
hands greedily on a rc truck!

Well, that was all around 25 years ago, but my passion is still
as young.

Electric rc cars make use of a 7.2 volt battery and two electric
motors. The rc car can
speed up to 25 miles per hour and of course, this is the perfect
start for the beginner. The best part of these electric rc cars
is that you can redesign the cars to be more faster, attach ball
bearings, boost the system with high power batteries and
everything thing else you ever wanted to experiment with. With
all these modifications, you can speed up your car to 40 miles
per hour!

Similarly, the remote control car, which enables you to operate
the car from a distance. It consists of a remote control unit, a
battery, and a charger. Many remote control cars make use of a
540 size electric motors, powered by 4 or 7 cell batteries. Pan
chassis with direct drive transmission are the norm for the
remote control cars. Foam tires are used and lightweight Lexan
bodies are used.

The Nitro RC cars are the second most popular cars. The word
nitro refers to the nitrogen that is a major part of the fuel
which is used to run the nitro rc cars. The energy that is given
by the fuel combustion allows the nitro rc cars to catch up a
speed of 80 miles per hour! These are special fuel made for
nitro rc cars, regular gasoline will NOT work! Nitro rc cars are
less in weight and have a better power to weight ratio. You can
easily modify the engine with a Mabuchi motor to give a speed of
90 miles per hour!

These nitro or gas powered rc cars give that much needed reality
into the machine and is spcailly designed for people who are in
search of something different from electric cars. The most
popular gas powered rc cars today are the cheap and fast href="http://rccar.ixvv.com/Gasrccar/">gas rc car , nitro
touring cars, the BIG monster nitro rc trucks!

These gas powered remote controlled cars and similar to electric
touring cars, but with more power and 2-speed transmission. At
190mm, these cars are slightly narrower and smaller than the
200mm models. You can also search for hundreds of href="http://rccar.ixvv.com/">rc car from online rc hobby
shops.

The super powered gas remote control car

Remote control car is a battery driven model car that can be
controlled using a remote from quite a distance. Inputs from the
remote radio are given with the help of joysticks via a
transmitter. These signals are sent to the radio remote control
car's receiver. These remote controlled cars can be designed
simple with a stop and go model or even can be built with
complex racing features. There can be a lot of complexity and
adjustability that can be put into the design of a remote
control car. Now, building, driving, and modifying these remote
controlled cars is not restricted to hobbies and experiments
only

Radio remote controlled cars can be easily divided in two types
either as "toy" or "hobby" grade. The toy grade remote
controlled cars are charged with the help of electric batteries
while the hobby grade cars that have been modeled for use, work
on either electricity or fuel for power. The electric rc cars
are small in size but use powerful electric motors and
rechargeable batteries. Most of these electric rc car models use
miniature internal combustion engines that are fuelled by a
special mixture of nitro methane, methanol, and a particular
type of oil. These types of electric rc cars are referred to as
nitro rc cars or nitro remote control cars.

The incresed interest of the industry has led to the development
of large models which are powered by small gasoline engines.
These gas powered remote control car are more complex in design
and prove to be less viable than the electric rc cars which are
generally considered easier for the novice to work with than gas
powered remote control cars. At the same time the electric rc
cars can be equally complex at the higher budget and skill
levels.

Guys who are interested in robotics, are always on the mission
to design a new remote control car. These types of model cars
are usually built in modules so in case any part breaks or wears
out, it can be replaced individually. The availability of many
replacement and high-performance parts for hobby-grade model
vehicles allows them to be extensively upgraded, all details can
be found at href="http://www.remotecontrolcar.ixvv.com/Gas_Power_Rc_Car/">Rem
ote Control Car.

There are tracks and racing junctions where you can get your
remote control cars to race against other remote cars. There are
activities round the year to attract such enthusiasts from
around the world to get together and race. You will find that
there are many levels of difficulty from beginners and all the
way to hardcore professionals, the tough competition ensures
that there is a racing class regardless of skill or equipment
level. href="http://www.remotecontrolcar.ixvv.com/rc_race_car/">Remote
Control Car racing is a serious professional motor sport,
with factory-backed drivers racing for cash prizes all over the
world.

How To Do Market And Keyword Research

Did you know that those who build search engine optimized
websites generally all fail before their website is even online?

It's a sad but true fact and the main reason for this is due to
their poor market research and keyword research. Before you even
consider building a website you must check out whether or not
the market your entering is one that you can succeed in.

To be successful you need to find a market that you can compete
in. Building a site on health and fitness will never be
successful. However in saying that you can dig deeper into that
market to discover niches that you stand a chance of competing
in.

In this example we will use remote control (rc) toys as our
market. Our common knowledge tells us there are many different
types of rc toys available so we decide that the best plan of
action is to build several different sites on each type of rc
toy.

* Site 1: rc cars - 1,109 visitors per day * Site 2: rc
helicopters - 663 visitors per day * Site 3: rc airplanes - 451
visitors per day * Site 4: rc tanks - 157 visitors per day *
Site 5: rc boats - 323 visitors per day

(Many of the above terms have a lower level niche. For example
you could have gas powered rc cars. To keep it more simple I
will only focus on the top level niche)

The visitor count for each of the above terms is pretty high.
The fact is if I built my websites on those terms it would be
very hard to compete. This is were the keyword research comes in.

There are a number of ways I can go about this but on this
occasion the best option may be to try and compete for the
specific models of each of those rc toys.

The benefits to this are huge. If I choose to compete for each
model not only will it create a more specific search which I
stand a much higher chance of ranking highly for, I can also
offer product links to those models. (Through my affiliate link
of course)

90% of people in the website building game are always chasing
the higher searched for more competitive keyword terms.

I am more than happy to take the less searched for keyword
terms. The less competition the easier it is to get visitors to
my website.

Where do I find the various rc car models? Pretty simple...I
visit google.com and type in rc car models or rc car model list.
I then visit each site making note of the various different
types of models.

In this example we'll take the RC10GT2 RS RTR W/ Radio. That
means absolutely nothing to me but I can guarantee that if a rc
car enthusiast came to my website he would know exactly what it
is.

On the keyword research tool I place the term: RC10GT2

* rc10gt2 - 34 visitors a day * setup sheets for rc10gt2 - 5
visitors a day

Pretty interesting results. That is only for one rc car model.
In google there are less than 13,500 competing websites for that
term. Most of those sites wouldn't even be optimized or have any
external linking campaigns done for them.

Could I rank highly for that term? I would say most definitely
yes.

Imagine if I have 40 different rc model keyword pages each
getting about 20 visitors a day.

That will be over 800 visitors.

Now back to the start.

Site 1: rc cars - 1,109 visitors per day

That term I will never rank high for.

But by doing a little research I could find the keyword terms
that will nearly provide me with those numbers of visitors. The
only difference is that I can compete for those specific terms.
Not only that, I can offer products on my site for each of those
models. Thanks to how specific my keyword research has been the
chances of converting those visitors into cash is much higher.

Which will be the most popular remote control car?

The fastest and most exciting category, gas powered remote
control cars can go as fast as 50 - 60+ miles per hour. The 1/8
gas cars go 70 - 80 mph in racing competitions. Also called
nitro Remote Control Car because the hobby fuel used contains
nitro methane to increase speed and power. Popular are the 1/10
on-road nitro touring cars. For beginners, electric remote
control cars are the best... easier to control, build, and
maintain. There are even ready to run (rtr) models that sell for
less than $100. But I would recommend better models such as the
HPI Sprint RTR and Associated TC3 RTR. Great reviews have been
posted in rc car forums. If you prefer playing or racing indoors
or have limited space to play, there are small but fast micro
and mini remote control cars. Popular models are the 1/28 Kyosho
Mini-Z and the 1/18 HPI Micro RS4. One of the hottest segment of
the hobby, and companies are scrambling to produce their own
mini remote control cars and trucks. For exciting dirt action,
the 1/8 off-road gas remote control buggies are the fastest
around an off road track. These 4x4 machines reach speeds of 40+
mph. There are also 1/10 off-road electric remote control
buggies such as the RC10B4 which are great racing buggies for
beginners.

The new craze... 1/18th Scale Mini Nitro RC Cars! I believe that
small, 1/18 scale nitro rc cars will be the next big thing in
the remote control hobby. Combine the popularity of nitro with
mini size, definitely a fun model to buy. XRAY is starting the
trend by producing a 1/18 scale remote control model car powered
by a nitro engine. So cool! href="http://www.remotecontrolcar.ixvv.com">Remote Control
Cars have arrived. Fast nitro RC cars achieve stock speeds
to 80 MPH+. Not into nitro RC cars? There are electric RC cars
too. Electric remote control cars can be used indoors and
outside. Electric rc cars, trucks, helicopters which make
amazing gifts for all ages. Whichever remote control car or rc
truck you choose, you will not be disappointed.

Lightning F1 Race Car 1:8th Scale RC Electric Car is a ready to
run vehicle, which means you are racing within minutes of
opening the box. The Lightning comes with all the batteries you
need, a charger and a trigger style transmitter. The Lightning
F1 Race Car is a very detailed car and at 22 inches long is big
enough to turn everyone's head. The Lightning F1 Race Car 1:8th
Scale RC Electric is super fast and won't disappoint. Offering
information, articles and a list of service providers for all
things rc. Check it out at href="http://www.remotecontrolcar.ixvv.com/gas_rc_car">Remote

Hello From Toronto - Part 1- A First Little Driving Tour -The

So my brother is in town, together with his wife and 2 friends
from my little home town in Austria. It is everybody's first
time in North America and their initiation to Toronto. Just to
give you ideas of dimensions: Austria has a population of about
9 million and the country extends about 900 km from east to west
while the Greater Toronto area nowadays probably has about 4 to
5 million people and Lake Ontario alone is over 300 km long. The
first thing my visitors noticed was the difference in size: the
size of the city, the size of the lake, the size of cars, the
size of supermarkets, and even of refrigerators.

On Sunday we started off with a little driving tour of Toronto
where I first took my visitors down to the lakefront by the
historic Art Deco style R.C. Harris Filtration Plant. All of
them love water and to have a lake as big as an ocean so close
by fascinated them. After a leisurely drive on Queen Street
through the quaint Beaches neighbourhood we parked the car close
to the St. Lawrence Market and started our walk around.

Since my brother is a chef and always loves to purchase
market-fresh food, I initially took him to the St. Lawrence
Market which always has an antique sale on Sunday. The food
market is actually closed on Sunday. We checked out the wares
from old furniture to cameras to various knick-knacks.

Our exploration continued westwards along Front Street past
historic 19th century houses and of course past the famous
triangular-shaped Flatiron Building which has a mural on its
west side. Approaching Yonge Street we walked past the Hockey
Hall of Fame, a historic Beaux-Arts former bank building, the
magnificent Royal York Hotel, built in 1929, once the largest
hotel in the British Commonwealth.

One of the things that fascinated my visitors most was how old
and new can coexist right next to each other: shiny skyscrapers
are located right beside historic sandstone churches. Our
walking tour continued past Union Station, Toronto's impressive
central railway station, built between 1914 and 1927 as a joint
construction project by the Canadian Pacific Railway and Grand
Trunk Railway (now the Canadian National Railway). Its
monumental scale, classical detail and rational, ordered
planning were hallmarks of the style. The station is massive and
takes up an entire block on Front Street between York Street and
Bay Street. The Great Hall of the Station is 250 ft. long and 84
ft. wide.

Our walk continued further west on Front Street past the
Convention Centre to the base of the CN Tower and the entrance
to the Skydome, Toronto's multi-purpose stadium with a
retractable roof, now called the Rogers Centre. We then snaked
our way up through the Entertainment District to Queen Street
where we admired Osgoode Hall, built in the 1830s, and now an
oasis of green in the city. An ornate iron fence, built in 1867,
renowned for its peculiar "cow gates," surrounds the property
and its beautiful gardens. The cow gates in particular
fascinated my visitors.

Our next stop was at New City Hall and Old City Hall, opened in
1899, which racked up construction costs of more than $2.5
million at the time which caused great controversy in those
days. Continuing past the Bay Department Store on Queen we
passed the Metropolitan United Church, an English style
cathedral dating from 1872, whose churchyard was filled with
people enjoying the warm day.

Once back in the car we drove through the U of T campus, my Alma
Mater and we stopped briefly to check out Hart House and Kings
College. Then we headed down to Chinatown at Spadina and Dundas
and my visitors marvelled at this exotic, busy market area. Our
last stop on the tour was Kensington Market, a lively little
neighbourhood full of food and clothing stores and restaurants
where we ended up picking up fresh vegetables, dry beans, and a
variety of cheeses for some of the scrumptious meals to come. My
brother, the chef, marvelled at the variety of food available
here, combined with the inexpensive prices a food lover's dream.

We took our loot home where my husband was waiting for us with a
big brunch to strengthen ourselves for attending a birthday
party of one of my friends that had the motto of "let out your
inner child". The party was unique in that it involved such
time-honoured Toronto traditions as hitting a piñada while a
bunch of adults were playing with water guns, chasing one
another around the house with buckets of water dropping on the
combatants from the second floor.

I think our visitors had a full day, from getting a first taste
of Toronto, to participating in a rather eventful birthday
party, their first impressions were very positive and they were
looking forward to exploring more of this exciting city.

Find Quality Boots that Fit Like a Glove

Finding just the right fit for your boots is important if you
want comfort and healthy feet. Whether buying motorcycle boots,
logger boots, lacer boots, cowboy boots, or steel toe boots,
you'll want the best fit possible so you can enjoy your
activities without aches and blisters. Here are some "fitting"
tips to remember when shopping for boots.

Choose Quality over Price

Invest only in boots of high quality. Price should only be a
factor once you've carefully examined the quality of the boots.
To put them to the test, check for solid bottoms. Try pressing
your thumb into the bottom of the sole. If the sole can be
pressed in with your thumb, the boots are probably too soft to
give the protection you need. Also, try twisting the soles of
the boots. If you can twist them, they're probably too soft.
Solid bottoms are very important with steel toe boots, logger
boots, lacer boots, or any other boots used for strenuous work
or activities.

Another indicator of quality is the strength and protection
provided by the sides of the boots. Good boots will provide
extra padding to protect your feet from rocks, stones, metal
objects, and so forth. Ankle support can be tested by grabbing
the top of the boot and trying to bend it over sideways. If it
can be bent easily, then ankle support is probably not a main
feature.

If working outdoors or doing outdoor activities such hiking or
riding motorcycles, be sure the boots are waterproof. Motorcycle
boots and cowboy boots will be exposed to all sorts of weather
while riding, from the heat of the sun to possibly heavy rain
downpours! Waterproof boots will last longer and protect your
feet from moisture.

Pricing your boots should only come after quality has been
considered. You can shop online to find great bargains once you
know which type or brand name of boots you want.

Fitting Your Boots

Even if shopping online for boots, you should have them fitted
in person by a professional if possible. Remember, all boots are
not created equal; all feet are not created equal! Your boots
should fit like a glove and be as comfortable as your running
shoes. Even heavy boots should fit comfortably.

Before leaving the house, grab a pair of socks you would
normally wear with boots. Try on the boots and wear them while
walking around the store for at least 15 minutes.

Sizing Your Boots

Be sure the boots do not slip on the heel. Also, check for
plenty of room at the toes. Many brand name boots offer a
"wide-toe" size if needed. Check the sizing with your index
finger. To do this, unlace the boots and move your foot forward
as far as possible. Try slipping your index finger inside the
boot behind the ankle. If your finger fits there comfortably,
then you've got the right size. They're not too tight or too
loose.

To check for tightness, try them on without socks once. Be sure
your toes have plenty of "wiggling" space. Also, feel for tight
spots around the sides of your feet. Then, test the boots again
with socks.

Test Your Stride

While walking around the store, notice how the boots feel when
walking forward, backward and side-ways. If planning to wear the
boots while hiking or walking on inclined areas, ask the store
clerk if there's an inclined area in the store or a slanted
board to test your boots.

Shopping for Boots Online

Once you find the perfect fit and quality boots, you can go
online to find great prices on the type of boots you need. There
are boot outlets online that offer many brand names and styles
to fit your needs. Also, many online malls offer other items for
sale, from RC toys to diecast model cars, so you can do other
shopping during your visit. Whether you need logging boots,
lacer boots, cowboy boots, steel toe boots, or motorcycle boots,
you'll want the very best. Your feet are worth it!
